  • Can’t say enough good things about these guys. We had no heat and logged an emergency call, since we have a 2-year old in the house. Al called back quickly – at 10:00 at night – and spent likely a total of half an hour to 45 minutes on the phone, combined with countless texts, trying to help us troubleshoot the problem so we wouldn’t have to pay extra for an overnight call.

    It turned out that we really did need a service call the next morning – our boiler is ancient and weird and, as it turned out, a serious challenge to work on. As a matter of fact, a friend who does this for a living took one look at it and told me we’d need a new one. Not Al. Nope. He was a freaking ninja. He pulled that thing apart, piece by piece, figuring our 50+ year old system out from scratch. Through the whole frustrating process, he was thoughtful about his approach, extremely respectful, and seemed to not mind the million and one questions. Thanks to Al, I now have a toasty-warm house AND a really solid understanding of how my boiler works.

  • This is the second time I’ve used these guys. Courteous, quick and knowledgeable. Also, called at 7:30 am and they were here at 9:30 am…..the heat is working again and will plan to call them in the spring for maintenance on the AC unit too.

  • When I was starting to have problems with my furnace. I tried two other companies, before I tried Sila. Sila’s service was impeccable, they showed up the same day, the technician knew exactly what to do, was courteous, and took the time to explain to me (in layman’s terms) what was happening and why, and how to fix the problem. They were neat, fast and efficient. Sila wasn’t the cheapest of the three companies, but in hindsight, I would have saved myself time, energy and money, had I used them the first time around.

  • Just moved out from California to NYC, so I know very little about the gas/steam heating system in my house. Eric from Sila came out today and not only fixed my problem quickly but gave me a much needed over view of how the system works so that I can feel confident at pinpointing any problem in the future. It seems that they also have an array of cooling systems as well so I will definitely be going to them for that in the future. Well done Sila!!
