SIZES:
The size chart at Sila denotes body sizes. It does not represent the size of the
outfit. So if you see an outfit that lists a size of '6', this means that it
will fit the body measurements that are listed under '6' in the size chart. It
does not mean that the dress itself has dimensions of '6'. A size Small will
fall between a 4 & 6. As a standard, our
dresses are made with 1.5 -2 inches ease allowance per body size (this is what
allows you to have breathing space even in the most well shaped and fitted
outfit), this means that e.g if you are a 36-26-36, your dress will measure e.g
38-28-38. Also, each dress at Sila has at least 2 inches of seam allowance, that
is extra fabric on the inside of the seams, for any alterations that you may
desire to meet weight or physique change. Some people prefer to wear looser
garments, please note that it does not work well with all styles, you can wear a
looser kurta but a larger kameez clearly shows that it was not meant for you
thus marring the image of your ensemble and your personal style. If you order a
size larger than yours, we cannot guarantee that it will portray the impact as
created by our design team when worn.
- SHIPPING:
Standard Shipping with in the United States & Canada is via insured
Airmail Postal Service. This service provides guaranteed and traceable shipping. Shipment costs are calculated by weight
and we have various shipping options for different type of products offered
at Sila. International shipping options are also provided for your convenience
however Sila
Enterprises Inc. is not responsible for any applicable customs duties or
taxes for international destinations that may be levied upon by the country
of receipt.
- The exact shipping charges for both domestic and
international shipments are calculated when you finalize your purchase at
Sila and can be viewed in your personal shopping cart.

- FITS: At
Sila there are different styles and tailored cuts in the featured ensembles.
For those of you who are not familiar with the traditional South Asian
inspired styles here are some guidelines.
- A kurta, kameez and a transitions tailored cut
will be different from each other. Thus the fitting and the dimensions of
each style will also be different. This means that a kurta in size 12 will
have different measurements from a kameez or a transitions ensemble in a
size 12.
- Generally speaking a kurta has more roominess
due to the extra side panels though it is well shaped, a kameez follows the
female form in an hour glass style and a transitions tailored cut is made on
a body form thus it is made precisely to mould to the figure size. For more
details and descriptions on these different styles please refer to our
glossary.
- Fabrics also play a vital role in the
dimensions of an ensemble, if the fabric has a stretch quality it may be
made with lesser ease to conform to the body curves in lieu of the design.
Sized cotton is given more ease in stitching to best portray its crisp look.
Silks and organza's has stitched with generous ease to avoid any seamstress
and are mostly stitched with a lining to add longevity to the ensemble. We
do not offer any alteration services so if you feel that a certain cut or
style does not work for you, please consult with a local seamstress with
experience in working with embellished ensembles for any changes. We cannot
guarantee the final impact of our creations after you may have it altered to
your taste.

- PETITE:
At sila we understand that we all come in different shapes and sizes. One
size does not fit all and certainly there is a huge presence of females with
delicate structures that require special tailored cuts. We offer petite
sizes through our custom order services and we keep in mind the following
along with other detailed measurements:
- 1. Shoulder size
- 2. Sleeve Length
- 3. Appropriate waist curve placement
- 3. Inseam and rise measurement for shalwars,
trousers and churridars.
- Please mention your specific height or
structure requirements when purchasing a ready to wear outfit.
- CUSTOM
ORDERS: Custom
Orders are offered at Sila to meet size requirements requested by you. We
know that we all have different sizing needs and thus offer this service to
customize a design that you like at Sila to meet your requirements.
- Custom Orders take 8-10 weeks to come through.
For custom orders you will be provided a measurement form to document your
sizing needs, you will get personalized service with the customer service
dept via phone & email to address any special requirements and you
will get a sila exclusive, made to your body size provided by you.
- Custom Orders are not refundable or returnable
since they are made exclusively on your request, no exceptions. Custom
orders need to be of a minimum of $200 at a time. A 50% non-refundable
advance payment will be required for the custom order. The balance payment
will be due at the time of outfit delivery. Please note, that we only take
custom orders for Sila designs. Respecting and carefully following
international fashion copy rights we do not cater to designs by other
designers, boutiques, magazines or websites.

- PAYMENT:
We accept payments for your Sila purchases in Cash, Money order, bank draft,
personal check, and the VISA, & MASTER CARD . We
require complete payment at the time of sale and cannot accept any bargains
or offer discounts unless pre-authorized by Sila on the website or via
newsletter, promotion code, advertisement or email. For custom orders we
need 50% advance at the time of order processing and 50% at the time of
'handing over of order'.

- RETURNS/EXCHANGES: The Sila~ designs displayed at the Site are
available in select sizes only while supplies last. The prices displayed at
the site can be changed at any time without any notice or obligation.
- Please feel free to contact customer
service via email or phone with any questions or uncertainties about
your size requirements to avoid any size confusions.
- Currently Sila~ only
accepts any returns of any ready to wear merchandise if the outfit is
damaged on arrival to client or does not fit in accordance to the size
required in writing via email by the client. Please note that you must
provide us a written record of the reason for return or exchange within in
24 hours of receiving the outfit, no exceptions. You must obtain
authorization from Sila via email before you send out the return or
exchange, any returns without notification to SILA will not be accepted.
Please understand these measures are to ensure that each outfit that is
received by any client at sila is of the quality that we guarantee.
- Sila~ is not responsible
for any damages incurred in the transit of shipping. (Our outfits are
packaged in crash test approved boxes, and individually packed in plastic
clothing bags)
- Outfits that have been
worn( for more than the try-on period), ironed, steamed or washed will
not be accepted as returns or exchanges. Outfits that have any stains,
emit body odor or perfume scents, have any kind of iron marks or water
stains will not be accepted for returns or exchanges.
- The are NO REFUNDS
for shipping and handling charges, unless it is a shipping error on our
part. There are no refunds for international shipping.
- Outfits must be returned
with in 5 days for a refund by our company check, returns later than 5 days
and within 30 days will be credited with merchandise credit, good towards
purchases in our online store only.
- To ensure the quality of
our couture collection, a restocking fee of 15% will apply to any formal
wear that may be returned.
- Outfits that have been
custom ordered cannot be returned or exchanged, there are no refunds for
custom orders. Bridal outfits cannot be returned or exchanged both AS IS or
custom ordered.
- Please note that Custom orders are based
on the measurements that you provide and Sila~ will not be responsible for
any inaccuracies in the final product (your custom order) in lieu of the
measurements provided.
- We have made a conscious effort to display as
accurately as possible the colors of Sila~ apparels that appear at the Site,
we have provided detailed text descriptions to provide accuracy to the
images. However, as the actual colors you see will depend on your monitor,
VGA card, resolution of your computer, browser used. We cannot guarantee
that your monitor's display of any color will be accurate.

- COPY RIGHTS:
Please note that Sila does not supply its creations to any boutique,
website, store or catalog other than listed clearly on our website. Our
designs are sold exclusively at our website www.sila.com
and our print 'Bridal Trousseau' catalog. Any website, or catalog, boutique
or store claming to offer, currently offering or offering to replicate our
exclusive designs through images downloaded from our web-site, scanned from
our catalog, through mock samples, or copying or offering to copy from a
Sila exclusive ensemble are in a full copyright infringement position.
They will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Please take care
and be savvy of sites offering to 'Remake' a design from any site or
designer or boutique as no legitimate business can do that with out
authorization of the owner of the intellectual property of the design.
