  • The installation went very well. The installers were very professional and left no mess whatsoever. The unit works great. I thought the price of the electrical work was on the high end. Sila sales rep made it clear that I could get someone else to perform the electrical work. To avoid the hassle of coordination, I elected to have all the work done by Sila Heating and Air Conditioning. They were able to run the wire in the attic, and it was a little tricky getting it to the soffit on the roof eaves. The electric wire and line-set pipes were concealed inside a piece of aluminum downspout.

  • What can I say.  They were speedy and tidy.  Everything was as predicted.  They provided good and timely information as the install proceeded. The system, while not silent, makes very little noise, much less than the window units it replaced.

    We lived through 5 years in the home with window AC units and thought we couldn’t do central AC in our home.  Now we think it was the best money we ever spent on our home.

  • We had a service call from Greg M. He demonstrated such professionalism I felt I had to write and let you know. I’ve been thinking about what distinguished his visit from the service calls we get from technicians at other companies (e.g. plumbing, appliance repair). And I see three areas in which Greg particularly excelled:

    1. Greg was competent. It was clear that he knew what he was doing. He accurately and quickly diagnosed the problem. And equally quickly and competently solved it. Watching him work, I saw first hand the efficiency and ease with which he worked.

    2. Greg was personable. He smiled, maintained eye contact. He was a skilled communicator: explained the situation (i.e., what happened, how he was going to fix it), to my husband and me in easily understandable terms.

    3. He spoke well of Sila. (this is a quality I find very rare in service technicians). Since we had originally had our AC installed by Unique Indoor Comfort, I wanted to know what the transition to Sila was like. Greg spoke very highly of the company and how it treats it employees. It was clear he took pride both in his work and in his company.

    Now, all of these fine qualities would be impressive on any given day. But this visit occurred at 4:30pm on Friday afternoon, the beginning of Memorial Day weekend. And yet Greg didn’t seem rushed or resentful. He took his time, he took care to get the job done right the first time.

    Bravo, Sila, for hiring such a great employee. You should be proud that someone of Greg’s caliber is representing your company.

  • I have used Sila twice now. First time, AC was not working because wire had been disconnected from outside compressor unit. They looked at the system and were able to diagnose why the system was not powering on 100%, fixed it, and added additional line so hopefully it won’t happen again. At no extra cost.
    Second time, and just a week later, I noticed the condensate line began to quickly drip. It was clogged. They came out same day and quickly unclogged the line. The service charge has been very reasonable especially given the same day service. Prompt, knowledgeable techs. I will definitely continue to use this company when they provide this level of service and reasonable rates. Highly recommended.
