  • I called Sila in the morning and the pricing was explained to me. They were able to accommodate my schedule and gave me a two hour afternoon window of 1-3 pm. I received a phone call 15 minutes before the technician’s arrival and he arrived within the 1 o’clock hour. The problem with the furnace was quickly diagnosed (a cracked pilot) and the part was replaced. The technician also checked another part of the furnace that tends to get dirty (and affects its functioning) and cleaned it.

  • We had a service call from Greg M. He demonstrated such professionalism I felt I had to write and let you know. I’ve been thinking about what distinguished his visit from the service calls we get from technicians at other companies (e.g. plumbing, appliance repair). And I see three areas in which Greg particularly excelled:

    1. Greg was competent. It was clear that he knew what he was doing. He accurately and quickly diagnosed the problem. And equally quickly and competently solved it. Watching him work, I saw first hand the efficiency and ease with which he worked.

    2. Greg was personable. He smiled, maintained eye contact. He was a skilled communicator: explained the situation (i.e., what happened, how he was going to fix it), to my husband and me in easily understandable terms.

    3. He spoke well of Sila. (this is a quality I find very rare in service technicians). Since we had originally had our AC installed by Unique Indoor Comfort, I wanted to know what the transition to Sila was like. Greg spoke very highly of the company and how it treats it employees. It was clear he took pride both in his work and in his company.

    Now, all of these fine qualities would be impressive on any given day. But this visit occurred at 4:30pm on Friday afternoon, the beginning of Memorial Day weekend. And yet Greg didn’t seem rushed or resentful. He took his time, he took care to get the job done right the first time.

    Bravo, Sila, for hiring such a great employee. You should be proud that someone of Greg’s caliber is representing your company.
